The Ice Storm

It’s Thanksgiving weekend circa 1973, ground zero for The Ice Storm’s knives-out dissection of the exotic mores of a Connecticut suburb. A wholesome façade belies the reality of dysfunction in the wake of the 60’s sexual revolution, not to mention in a household with too much money and free time. While the kids experiment with booze, drugs and sex, the adults fight among themselves and swap partners, all against the background of the Watergate hearings.
